annabel's rainforest façade takes over mayfair in london

A GIANT RAINFOREST FAÇADE IN LONDON

on the façade of annabel’s in mayfair, london, a vibrant tableau of multicolored botanicals and giant parrots has taken shape. rooted on the exterior of the private members club, the installation forms an impromptu rainforest from the building’s roof to the ground floor. the project, which raises awareness of the deforestation crisis, has been created by annabel’s in partnership with the caring family foundation and one tree planted.

the rainforest-inspired façade welcomed visitors to their inaugural green-carpet event and campaign, annabel’s for the amazon. the initiative has pledged to plant one million trees by march 2023 in the amazon, continuing with the team’s efforts to contribute to the reforestation of the amazon rainforest.

THE BLOOMING FAÇADE AIMS TO RAISE AWARENESS ON DEFORESTATION

in addition to planting a million trees, the project claims it will create 300 new jobs for the next two years, protecting local people and their land. the trees planted will help to restore biodiversity in central brazil’s araguaia corridor, one that might become the world’s largest one, and one of south america’s largest restoration projects.

‘its scope is astonishing, with a total length of 2,600 kilometers and a width of up to 40 kilometers. it’s part of an amazing global coalition to restore and create natural resilience in this important ecosystem,’ said the caring family foundation.

this campaign continues with the foundation’s work in 2020 which donated funds to restore the amazon rainforest within roraima, brazil. the project has built 10 seedling nurseries and has given local communities ideas on how to restore their homelands.
